The IRGC put on display a semi-submersible torpedo boat armed with the 324 mm torpedoes designated as Zolfaqar. Although a semi-submersible need to keep its snorkel above the water to run its engine, it is still very difficult to detect using radar. The Zolfaqar is 17 m long, 3.3 m wide and weighs 22 tonnes, with speed of up to 70 km/h (38 kt).

The IRGC is believed to have deploy semi-submersibles since 2002, when it was reported that North Korea supplied two Taedong-B and three Taedong-C craft.
