Volga Dnepr's An-124 fleet grounded

On 25th November 2020, Volga Dnepr grounded their AN-124 Ruslan fleet of eight aircraft and they are recommending that Antonov Airlines do the same. The Ukrainians are not following at the moment. Apparently, the Russians are playing safe pending investigation into the catastrophic engine failure that happened at the Novosibirsk-Tolmachevo Airport, Siberia, Russia on 13 December.

In December 1997, multiple engine failure immediately after take-off caused the fatal crash of a Russian Air Force An-124 in Irkutsk.
